THE TORN WING - Chapter 1 by Kiki Hamilton
"THE FAERIE RING is an entertaining, magical-historical adventure!" - Kirkus Reviews
“Hamilton’s debut gracefully mixes fantasy, Dickensian London, and a dash of romance.” - Publisher's Weekly
“THE TORN WING is a fun read – all but impossible to put down… Lovers of fairy tales and Victorian England aren’t the only readers who will be charmed by this story of self-discovery.” - Kirkus Reviews
"THE LAST DANCE is funny, serious, sad and joyful - Kiki Hamilton will pull you in by the heart and never let you go." - Amy Fellner Dominy, author of Audition & Subtraction
What a creepy (I mean that in the best possible way, of course :) beginning!

ReplyDeleteMy Thoughtful Review: A fantastic start to the continuum of Tiki's story. The perspective starting in not Tiki's point of view, but in an Unseelie. A great description opening into a a new setting. An innocent seeming enters to see the king of the Seelie, not do yet know of his whereabouts. But then in the last page of the chapter, suspense holds and the King is dead, word gone to us that more is planned and Queen Victoria would be next in which is the scene where Tiki must commit some. A lashing begging throwing us into the plan and withheld suspense already. Opinions claim hold and an obvious starter to be. Tiki, the hero again, may it be at must.
DeleteWarning!! That is my comment "My Thoughtful Review" right above. That's a comment, not a reply to Amy Fellner Dom
